Sunday Morning Classes

Sunday Morning classes, traditionally known as “Sunday School,” play a major role in our ministry, encouraging all of us to grow as disciples as we come together for study, fellowship and conversation.

• SUNDAY MORNING CLASS TIME is at 10:00 a.m.
• CLASSES are available for all ages:
  • Meets in Fellowship Hall classrooms
    • Elementary
    • Confirmation (Spring classes for specific ages)
    • Middle School/High School
    • Post High School/College/20’s and 30’s “ish” (new class “Journey” beginning in Fall 2017)
  • Meets in Main Sanctuary Building classrooms
    • Multiple Adult groups
• NURSERY CARE is provided for Infant to Pre-K ages in Fellowship Hall

JOURNEY CLASS welcomes adults of all ages, especially post high school and college aged adults as well as young families and singles who are interested in exploring life’s journeys… sharing and learning from the Bible and from each other as well as guests who share their stories, practical knowledge and lessons learned at different points in their lives. Topics and areas of study are discussed and approved based upon input from our class. NEW class beginning in Fall 2017.

VISIONS CLASS is an adult class for those with busy, active lifestyles who wish to have open conversation about a multitude of topics. We completed a study of the 23rd Psalm and are currently learning more about John Wesley and Methodism.

COFFEE CUP CLASS loves their Lord, coffee, cookies, pastries and the fellowship that goes with it. Earlier this year, our class began studying teachings on community. The first four weeks we studied scripture that focused on community with a mission. The second four weeks we studied scripture that focuses on the teachings of Jesus. In May we begin studying scripture that will focus on teachings of the church.

FIRESIDE CLASS is an all-inclusive active adult class. Our course of study includes spiritual, inspirational and motivational materials. We have been studying the Bible books of Daniel and Revelations, as well as the End Time DVD series. We place strong emphasis on fellowship and support for the members of our class, our church, and our community.

HATCHER CLASS is made up of adults of all ages. We offer adults a chance to learn by studying and discussing topics that vary from Bible, to current social issues, and all aspects of Methodism, as they relate to everyday life. We recently finished studying a series of lessons provided by the Bishop on the Book of Acts.
